Amrit Cement Industries Ltd to set up a cement plant at Umalper village in Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya. The project involves setting up of a cement plant unit of 1.5 mtpa capacity, captive lime stone mines of (180 ha 2.20 mtpa). Land required for the project is around 30 ha for plant and 180 ha for mines. The project will entail an investment of Rs.5500 million. Raw materials requird for the plant will be limestone, shale/clay, mill scale, sandstone, gypsum and coal.
In January 2017, the project had been commissioned
