Meghalaya government has set up a waste to fuel plant in Tura in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya. The project is being developed with collaboration with South Korea (Tura Municipal Board, and Chamhana GW of South Korea).
The plant has a capacity of 35 tpd and will convert all bio waste into fuel briquettes, which could be used as substitute.
